Weinermobile Crashes
Driver Couldn't Cut the Mustard

Alternate title:
Insurance company won't relish THIS claim!

Sorry it's been so long...but a story like this is enough to bring anyone out of retirement.

(I'll be writing regularly again very soon.)

"MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. - One homeowner is probably not in love with the Oscar Mayer wiener. The famed hot dog's Wienermobile crashed Friday into the deck and garage of a home in southern Wisconsin.

Police said the driver was trying to turn the Wienermobile around in the driveway and thought she was moving in reverse. But she instead went forward and hit the home in Mount Pleasant, about 35 miles south of Milwaukee."

The full story can be found at: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31975215/ns/us_news-weird_news/

Hopefully the driver has enough insurance to cover his buns.

(Ok - what would you pay to hear a recording of THAT emergency call?
Frantic home owner: "I'm TELLING you - There's a gigantic ... errrmmm hot dog in my living room!!"
Operator: "*sigh* Sir - please put down the crack pipe and sleep it off.")

No kidding Jules. I can just imagine some fireman running from the bathroom - pants still around his ankles - trying to ketchup to the rest of the guys at the scene!

"Um, boss. It's Bob. And, this one's a real pickle."

"Sadly, news reports indicate that the insurance agency, based out of Vienna, is not willing to front the bucks for the whole claim at once. Quoted the Agent, Poppy, "Seed money was be offered first."

The homeowner's beef? "This is an insurance claim for damages. I'm not starting a business here. What a wiener." After that, comments got a little more salty.

The license of the driver has been suspended. A civil suit will surely be filed. When asked for comment, the driver mumbled, "I can't bear the anticipation."

*giggle* ... well, at least WE think we're funny, Dana.

wv = "Epullax". In order to remove the vehicle from the home, an extra large dose of epullax was injected into the hot dog, which seemed to reduce the swelling.
