Hello? Is There Anybody In There?

"Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
--Pink Floyd

Have no fear - there are more food related
posts sitting in my draft pile.

But, for now...
I have a favor to ask.

According to the map and counter on the right there have been 700+ blog hits since October 23. Less than 2 months.

Yet, honestly, I wonder...
Does anyone read this?

Or, are these just random hits?
Did the word "drugs" in the last post simply boost the numbers?

Interestingly enough, in the last post, I also mentioned "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and someone posted a comment that was topical.

So, I that's encouraging.

Well, my family says they read it - which is very nice. Actually, they know specifics from even the long posts...which kinda shocks me. Good people.

But, I wonder, anyone else reading?
Shaking your head in wonder?

So, I have a favor.
If you have read any post on here...
And you have gotten this far...
And, you've never posted a comment before...
Would you kindly post one?

You don't have to sign up to comment.
Just click the Anonymous option.

Maybe include:
Your first name,
your city or state,
how you found the blog,
and anything else you wish to share - like your own blog URL.

I'm just...wondering.
Anybody home? Pin It

I found your blog from Roadfood.com. I am a big FOA fan and have been to a lot of places you were in KY and enjoyed reminiscing through your experiences.

I am Susan {soozycue520} from Cincinnati, and have your blog bookmarked. I check it every week or so, so obviously, I enjoy it!!

Hi! I found you through the Good Eats fan page after you linked to my little blog, she eats. :)

I like your stuff! Don't lose hope -- I've only been around for about two months, too. It just takes time to build readership (at least, that's what I keep telling myself...).

Hi K - from http://sheeats.wordpress.com/

Thanks for stopping by.
I enjoyed your Umami post very much. And if you are a fan of AB and AB2 (Brown and Bourdain) you might get a kick out of a few things over at the Good Eats Fan Page Message Board.

And, let's see, that would make you the second "K" over there. And, the third, "K" here.

Lots of food lovin' folks with that initial. ;)
All the best,

(OK, let's try this again w/o my typo.)

Hey there soozycue520,
Doesn't RoadFood.com, rock?
I could not believe how friendly and helpful the folks over there were when planning my Feasting On Americana! trip.

One of these days I'm seriously gonna have to venture over to Cincinnati. I hear y'all are proud of your 5 ways.

Here in Chi-town we do our dogs 1 way - all beef, Vienna - no ketchup - with celery salt. Least that's my way. ;)

Susan, thanks for reading.

Hey Dana,

I read your blog. I try to hit most food blogs at least once a week (although that doesn't always happen) but I do read and enjoy yours!
